Background

Muskaan Chopra attended the University of California, Irvine, where she earned her degree in Criminology, Law, and Society. During her undergraduate studies, she cultivated a strong interest in legal advocacy and developed a passion for using the law as a tool to serve and uplift communities.

Muskaan is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law and will begin her third year this fall. She serves as an Associate Writer for the California Western Law Review, contributing to legal scholarship and research. In addition, she is actively involved in the law school community as a member of several student organizations, including the Business Law Society, National Lawyers Guild, South Asian Law Society, Women’s Law Caucus, and the First-Generation Law Students Association. Through these affiliations, Muskaan engages with diverse legal perspectives. During her second year, she also served as a Contracts tutor, mentoring first-year students and helping them build a strong foundation in legal analysis.

Muskaan has gained valuable practical experience through a range of legal roles. During her 2L year, she interned with the Community Law Project, where she provided pro bono legal assistance to low-income and unhoused individuals, reinforcing her commitment to legal advocacy. Following her first year of law school, she worked as an in-house legal intern at Sony Electronics Inc., where she gained exposure to corporate legal practice and developed insight into in-house counsel operations.

Originally from Anaheim, California, Muskaan enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. In her free time, she loves cooking and baking, experimenting with new recipes, and discovering new music.
